Forestry, logging, firefighting and the trades all pull from the same kind of person: someone who shows up, carries the load and doesn't complain. That's a strength right up until it becomes the reason nobody knows you're struggling.
Devon Skerry came to this business through the fire service, where the calls stack up and the culture says you handle it. Men in these fields die by suicide at rates far higher than the general population, and most never say a word beforehand. That isn't a statistic to him — it's people he's worked beside.
So Skerry Timber Services is built as two things at once: a professional tree and forestry company, and an open door. If you're on a job with us, you'll hear it talked about like any other safety topic — because it is one. And if you're a customer, neighbor or another contractor who needs to talk, the number on this site works for that too.
